Susanna Gabbiano Biography
Susanna is currently performing as a Symphony Pops Vocalist. She recently appeared with the Newark-Granville Symphony Orchestra (2012) and the Schenectady Symphony Orchestra (2011) where she performed songs from her current project - “Incarnation of Love”, all arranged for symphony performance. This material embraces a fresh energy and maturity; featuring beautiful songs in Italian, and pop songs dear to her heart. “These songs are inspirational to me, and helped shape my life experiences.“
Susanna is a native of Buffalo, NY, where as a young girl, was greatly influenced by her father’s love of music, piano and the areas vibrant music culture. This led to performing for family gatherings and singing in both church and school choirs, and to study dance at the David de Marie Dance Studio.
After moving to Las Vegas she became involved in musical theater, performing in such plays as The Wizard of Oz, The King and I, and Fiddler on the Roof. She joined the Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society and performed in many musical productions around town. During this same time, she attended college to study music and voice.
Susanna also performed as the lead singer in “Viva Las Vegas” at the Sands Hotel, as well as appearing at major conventions as a singer, model, and spokesperson. Her vocals were used on various TV and radio jingles for George Dare Productions. Susanna has also lent her talents for various charity and special events in the Las Vegas area. As lead singer in the production of ”The Las Vegas Lounge Show“, she entertained at resorts and private parties in and around Nevada.
After taking time off for her family, Susanna resumed her career and became the featured vocalist with the 17 piece Arnie Webster Big Band in Las Vegas - performing a wide repertoire of standards through current Pop.
Performing in a symphony arena with a new collection of songs, she now feels she has found her home.
